Heat Transfer Products;

Ever ask yourself what's the difference between Heat Transfer & Silk Screened items?
Silk screen printing and heat press transferring are methods of applying graphic design to garments and other textiles. Paper heat-press transfers offer convenient image transferring without the mess and work that silk screen printing necessitates. Heat press transfers conserve printing supplies by requiring only one application at a time, while silk screens make large orders of T-shirts  quickly.

HEAT PRESS

Heat press printing uses heat to physically transfer the ink or dye, as well as a paper-like substance, to the surface being printed on. This paper is then removed, leaving the print. If you have ever made a T-shirt at home with an iron-on transfer and your iron, than you have used a heat press. Of course, commercial heat presses (which is what I have) are much different and create a more seamless and longer-lasting image.

 SCREEN PRINT

Screen-printing can be compared to lithography. There are four main pieces needed to screen-print: the screen,  the vector copy of the image, the squeegee and the ink. The screen is placed on the object and the squeegee is used to add the ink to the surface, through the screen. The ink only goes through in the areas the screen has not been treated, forming the image. This is mainly used for bulk orders needed for companies.
